Should you take domestic cases as a Private Investigator?

You should consider taking infidelity (AKA: cheaters) cases as a private investigator if you want to expand your billable services, increases your revenue and if you have the skills to work cheating cases well!

Here are same things to consider…

Pro: These cases increase the billable hours and especially surveillance to increases your revenue.

Con: You have to market to each potential client to get infidelity cases.

When you work for “repeat” clients like law firms, they choose you once and you work for them over and over again. With Cheating husband or wife cases, you need to go out and get each client for the one time case you’re working for them.

Con: You need to educate your clients on each and every case you take.

Again, your attorney clients understand what to expect from your work. These individual clients that call, you need to really set their expectations on what you can bring them and make sure they are clear on how expensive these cases can be!

Summary

If you have the skills to serve your clients well on infidelity cases, and you want (or need!) the extra income from these cases, then seriously consider accepting them.
