Do you have to read Miranda Rights to a subject, suspect or witness in a private investigation case you working?
IMHO, nope.
Miranda Rights are the rights that protect us from the government in the US.
You’ve heard them a million times on TV shows and in the movies… “You have the right to remain silent…”, etc.
Now, check with a lawyer if you need legal advice. This is just my experience from decades in the security and investigative profession, but since we are private citizens and not “agents of the state”, we don’t have to Mirandize people.
