Unclaimed funds also known as unclaimed money is a real thing, but I have an important warning if you’re a professional investigator learning your skip tracing skills from “wholesale” skip tracers.
Here’s the thing, so-called wholesale skip tracers don’t care if they tip the skip! And they skip a bunch of accounts because they work on volume! As professional private investigators each and every one of our cases has a big part of our clients life in the balance.
P.I.’s can’t afford to have the “win some / lose some” (find some / miss some) attitude of these “batch” skip tracers!
The “Batch Skip Tracer” Mistake
Batch skip tracers leave Public Records too soon.
They get a name for a property then bounce over to “people finder” type websites (of questionable reputation) and risk getting sucked down a rabbit hole of false leads.
Of course they can handle this because they have the mentality of telemarketers!
These “wholesale” skip tracers” will call anyone and everyone they think can help them, but REAL investigators don’t have that luxury! Frequently we need to be more covert or we risk messing up our client’s case!
So be careful who you are learning from.
Be suspicious for people promising you results in your life they haven’t created in their own!
Conclusion
Jim Rohn had this great idea. People would ask him, “Do you read a book on nutrition and follow it?” He says, “No! You read two books on nutrition and you make a decision. Don’t be a follower. Be a student.”
Take the information I’ve shared with you here and use it with information from other trustworthy experts, then make a decision on which way to go.

I get asked all the time about online trolls, stalkers and fraudsters harassing people or ripping them off so this week’s private investigator training video is about how to use a screen grab to inspect elements of their mail and how to use the zip+4 with open sources and methods to find where they live in case you need to file a civil suit.
WARNING:
When you are searching online, be careful because the major search engines make their money when you click on their advertising links and they are not above tricking you into clicking the wrong link!
Usually the first few links that come up are advertisers who are trying to scam you or trick rip-off companies who have manipulated themselves higher that the legitimate OSINT source you’re actually looking for.
